Gavy Gupta here. If you know me, you know I’m on a mission to improve and transform the U.S healthcare system.
About
I began my professional healthcare management journey six months before the Covid-19 Pandemic, while working at a safety-net health system in Cambridge, MA.
I’m so thankful for this opportunity early on in my career, as I was able to gain a foundational understanding of how a hospital/health system aka “ground zero” operates and the frequent challenges of improving operations and value based care performance across medical specialties, behavioral health, acute care, and primary care.
Towards the tail end of my time working at the safety-net healthcare system, I realized the crucial role technology has on improving patient outcomes and lowering healthcare costs.
I decided the next best place to add value was at the electronic medical record (EMR) level, aka “the lifeblood of any healthcare system”, by leveraging my understanding of healthcare systems and the challenges of being reimbursed for care provided.
The culture in health technology is different. Health technology requires rapid iterations and a necessity to be “Agile” as client needs and requests can evolve quickly.
As I led various agile projects, improving Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) products/processes, I began to better understand the marketplace for various healthcare solutions.
My knowledge of health system operations and EMR/EHR systems led me to a “full circle” opportunity of working on a Go-to-Market Strategy for SaaS-based platform called “Analytics for Risk Contracting” (ARC), which empowers healthcare providers by utilizing EMR/EHR data and analytics to improve transitions to value based care.
This opportunity involved working with additional channel partners on aligning our offerings to provide the most valuable solutions for clients as well as a deep understanding of various Medicare/Medicaid programs and the implications on various types of healthcare organizations (Health System, Hospitals, Independent Physician Groups, Federally Qualified Health Centers, etc.)
